Rosalind R. Reddick, President
Rosalind Reddick’s professional journey and community involvement showcase her dedication to education and service. A native of Raleigh, NC, she pursued her bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management at Cheyney University in Pennsylvania, demonstrating her early interest in hospitality management. However, her passion for education led her to further her studies at UNC Charlotte, where she obtained certification in Elementary Education.
Currently, Rosalind serves as a second-grade teacher for Wake County Public Schools, where she undoubtedly makes a significant impact on the lives of her students. Her commitment to education extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by her involvement in various leadership roles such as President of the Hodge Road Elementary Sunshine Committee and former Grade Level Chair. Additionally, her role as a former Teacher Mentor reflects her dedication to supporting and guiding her colleagues in their professional development.
Outside of her teaching career, Rosalind is deeply involved in volunteer work for several nonprofit organizations, demonstrating her commitment to serving her community in diverse ways. Her long standing involvement in church ministries, spanning over 20 years, further underscores her dedication to faith-based service, culminating in her ordination as a Deacon.
Rosalind resides in Zebulon, NC, with her husband, Almer, where they likely continue to be active members of their community, embodying their shared values of service, education, and faith. Through her multifaceted contributions to education, community service, and faith-based initiatives, Rosalind Reddick exemplifies the spirit of leadership, compassion, and dedication to making a positive impact on those around her.
Almer K. Reddick, Vice President
Almer Reddick is a native of Williamston, NC and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication (Concentration – Advertising/Marketing). He is currently a Regional Sales Director with Madrigal Pharmaceuticals. He is certified as a Master Trainer and Facilitator by the Corporate Executive Board (CEB).
Almer is active in his community having previously served as the Vice President of the Norcross Youth Athletic Association, Vice-President of the Norcross Dugout Club, Youth Baseball, Football and Basketball Coach. Almer currently serves on the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Visitors, UNC-Chapel Hill National Research Institute Advisory Board, UNC-Chapel Hill ACRED Community and the UNC-Chapel Hiil Sonya Stone Center National Advisory Board. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and is an ordained Deacon. Almer lives in Zebulon, NC with his wife (Rosalind).
Fred Merritt, Treasurer
Fred Merritt is founder and chief executive officer at Synergy Tech Consulting, a strategic consulting, staffing and technology services company headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Fred founded Synergy Tech Consulting in 2008 and remains very hands on in the firm’s day-to-day management.
Fred is currently a Veteran of the United States Army where he served prior to gravitating to work in the Healthcare IT consulting industry. Fred currently serves as the Treasurer for the Richmond (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and is the national webmaster for the fraternity as well.
Fred received his Bachelors in Information System and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Virginia Commonwealth University. He currently resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife and two kids.
S. Rainey Chambers, Secretary
S. Rainey Chambers is a native of Washington, DC and a graduate of The Catholic University of America with a master’s degree in Human Resources Management. Rainey is currently a Human Resources Consultant with the federal government. She is active in her community, serving as the leader of a community organization she started called Chambers of the Heart, where she focuses on four pillars: 1. Financial Freedom 2. Education 3. Resources and 4. Reparations within the community. She has held workshops on the importance of having life insurance, wills and trust, and a host of other events. Rainey lives in Maryland with her two daughters.
Tearra Sutton, At Large
Tearra Sutton is a native of Knightdale, NC, and graduated from UNC-Greensboro with a bachelor’s degree in Education (Concentration – Early Childhood). She is currently a special education teacher at Hodge Road Elementary School.
Tearra is active in her community having previously served as the Vice President of NCNW (National Council of Negro Women) and church secretary. She is a member of the Bee Excellent Association and is a certified beekeeper. Tearra lives in Wilson, NC with her husband (Kristopher) and two sons (Kristian and Kaleb)
